New York, Peconic Bay Northwell
It is a very long 6-week story. I am interested in helping and going public. This is a horrific story, as it is for every family that went through this. I have read and watched horrible videos from other families. I warn so many people about what the hospitals are still doing.
John's Primary Care Physician was denied communication by hospital staff yet, when his cardiologist came to visit, he only knocked on the door not entering the room.
John was treated okay the first 2 weeks in a private isolated room. Food was served, but he began having issues with his kidneys and liver. He needed high flow oxygen and was moved to ICU. That’s when the attitude started. One doctor did say what a fighter he was and that he really had faith in John coming home. John would not let anyone intubate him because he would get his breathing under control himself.
John was berated to be intubated, but refused. No one helped him eat when he was struggling to breathe so he just quit eating. The family was denied transfer. John was constantly being yelled at for not being able to swallow his pills. After he got pneumonia, he went downhill and given more rounds of Remdesivir instead of antibiotics (which I questioned). Then a nurse gave him a shot of Lovenox in his arm, when everyone else gave it in the belly. She injected it in the arm attached to his blood pressure monitor. Within hours, his entire arm turned black from the shoulder to the fingertips. She had caused a blood clot. A wrist/surgeon were discussing surgery to remove the arm. Unbelievable, he was dying.
He was put on an IV so he could die peacefully, ignored totally, then moved into a basement room, where we could finally stay with him until death. This was a very strong man physically, mentally and faithfully. He wrote notes to me accusing the hospital of murdering him. At that point, he wrote want to “die quick”. He could not speak due large sores in his mouth. No one wanted anything more to do with him. That was the beginning of the start of his dying. There is much more to this than I can write. His treatment became very cruel and he was very alert!!
This is the worst, after they caused the blood clot in his arm (they did not take responsibility for it). A Dr. Capernum in charge of palative care, took it upon herself to go in and tell him, he was dying and had a choice to make!!! Never asked me to be present. I had no idea. He was blindsided ( this man was a fighter). I later saw he wrote on his paper “get wife quick”! When I finally walked in, I will never forget his face, so frightened, confused by what had been said without me there! I watched these people tear down a very strong man with no regard, no emotion, nor compassion.
