In my 20s I was run over and dragged under a truck by a drunk driver.  I had multiple spine and unstable pelvic fractures (it was completely crushed) with lots of hardware put in.  After healing I was sent by my attorneys to an obstetrician (OB) where I was told it would be very unlikely to conceive naturally due to scar tissue and one of my ovaries was nonfunctional and got pushed way up in my abdomen in the accident.  Just an aside - there is no criminal prosecution when someone takes away your ability to bear children.  Women’s reproductive rights do not exist, in my opinion, nor for the unborn child, although we are making progress in the latter.

To my surprise I did get pregnant shortly after our honeymoon.  I was also told by my orthopedist that, because of my injuries and hardware, it was a mandatory cesarean section (C‑section).  Absolutely no labor.  I had her write a letter and gave it to my OB.  I even moved states to be near a big medical center in Texas.  I found a great OB who said it would not be a problem and scheduled a C-section.
